Makar Gin

glasgowdistillery.com Reviewed by Gin School; distillery has not claimed entry

Makar was the first modern-day gin distilled in Glasgow, proudly juniper-led and named from the old Scots word for a craftsman. It is batch distilled in a copper hybrid still with eight botanicals: juniper, angelica root, liquorice, coriander seeds, lemon peel, cassia bark, black peppercorns and rosemary. GinSchool tip: black peppercorns add a dry, woody spice that reinforces juniper's backbone, a great way to make a classic dry gin feel bolder.
