Hendrick's Original Gin

Hendrick's Reviewed by Gin School; distillery has not claimed entry

An unusual gin, born of curious minds and distilled in Scotland, Hendrick's marries the spirits of two rare and very different stills — the deep, characterful Bennett and the light, vapour-soft Carter-Head — into one beautifully rounded whole. Eleven botanicals lay the groundwork: juniper, coriander seed, angelica root and orris root for structure, florals of chamomile, elderflower and yarrow, and a citrus-and-spice lift of cubeb, caraway, lemon and orange peel. Then comes the flourish that made it famous — post-distillation infusions of cool cucumber and Bulgarian Damascena rose. The result is silky, fragrant and rose-soft, made for a cucumber-garnished G&T. Bottled at 41.4% ABV.
