G'Vine Nouaison

g-vine.com Reviewed by Gin School; distillery has not claimed entry

A French gin built on grape spirit rather than grain, named for "nouaison" — the moment a vine flower sets into a tiny green berry. Those vine flowers are macerated into neutral grape spirit alongside juniper, ginger root, liquorice, cassia bark, green cardamom, coriander, cubeb berries, nutmeg and lime, then distilled in small bespoke stills and finished in a pot still nicknamed 'Lily Fleur'. Floral, soft and distinctly vinous. Cubeb berries bring a peppery, pine-edged spice — one to reach for when you build your own bill.
