Sarticious Gin
limoncello.com Reviewed by Gin School; distillery has not claimed entry
Made by friends Jeff Alexander and Mark Karakas at their Californian micro-distillery on a 120-gallon copper alembic still, Sarticious is flavoured with juniper, organic orange, coriander, cardamom, cinnamon and pepper. The invented name, its makers say, means 'well-dressed and desirable'. GinSchool discovery: a single peppercorn-led spice note can carry a whole gin — pepper is a simple way to add bite to your own bill.
