Ransom Old Tom Gin
ransomspirits.com Reviewed by Gin School; distillery has not claimed entry
Developed with the revered cocktail historian David Wondrich, Ransom Old Tom is built to recreate vintage cocktails from the mid- to late-1800s. A base wort of malted barley meets a botanical infusion in barley-corn spirit, distilled in a copper pot still then cask-aged three to six months. Six botanicals are used: juniper berries, orange peel, lemon peel, coriander seed, cardamom pods and angelica root. The aromatic cardamom is a hero botanical to lift your own gin.
