Launched in December 2012, Hernö is batch distilled in a 250 litre Carl copper still called Kierstin using organic neutral wheat spirit. This base spirit is diluted with well water and redistilled to ensure purity before the eight botanicals are steeped in the spirit and then redistilled. Juniper and coriander are added first and the still heated to about 70°C then the heat is turned off and the juniper and coriander left to steep for about 18 hours before the other botanicals (meadowsweet, cassia, black pepper, vanilla, lingon berries and hand-peeled fresh lemon peel) are then added and disti
