Hepple Gin
hepple-gin.com Reviewed by Gin School; distillery has not claimed entry
Hepple Gin is anything but simple, flavoured with green and ripe juniper, Douglas fir needles, Amalfi lemon peel, dried blackcurrant leaves, blackcurrants, lovage, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, liquorice, orris root and angelica root. Its complexity comes from three extraction methods — copper pot still, CO₂ extraction and a glass vacuum rotary evaporator — with much of the juniper and other botanicals sourced from the Hepple Estate.
Douglas fir needles bring a fresh, resinous green lift alongside the juniper — a striking botanical to reach for when you build your own gin.
