Produced for the Wemyss family of Scotland, Darnley's View takes its name from the moment Mary Queen of Scots first glimpsed Lord Darnley through a courtyard window at Wemyss Castle in 1565. Distilled in a tiny copper pot still at Thames Distillery in Clapham, London, it carries just six botanicals: juniper, elderflower, Spanish lemon peel, angelica root, Moroccan coriander seed and orris root. That floral elderflower lifts the classic backbone beautifully — a hero botanical to soften your own gin.
