Boompjes Korenwijn & Moutwijn
onderdeboompjes.eu Reviewed by Gin School; distillery has not claimed entry
A barrel-aged Korenwijn built on 60% triple-distilled maltwine from rye, malt and corn, rested four years in used American bourbon barrels. The spirit is blended with an esprit of six botanicals: juniper, vanilla, lavender, liquorice, coriander seeds and angelica root, and traditionally served with raw herring. Angelica root ties the bill together with earthy, dry structure — a foundation botanical for your own gin.
