Highclere Castle Gin

The house gin of Highclere Castle — the real-life Downton Abbey — is distilled at England's oldest gin distillery using the traditional London Dry process, with a recipe developed over two years with the 8th Earl and Countess of Carnarvon. It pairs classic botanicals — juniper, angelica, cassia, orange and lemon peel — with lavender from the castle's own Monks' Garden and Highclere's estate-grown oats.

The garden lavender ties the gin to its place — a lovely reminder that a single estate botanical can give your own gin its sense of origin.
