Midwestern Dry Gin

jriegerco.com Reviewed by Gin School; distillery has not claimed entry

Developed at the J. Rieger Distillery in Kansas City by Tom Nichol, the long-time Tanqueray master distiller who came out of retirement to make it. Built on neutral grain spirit with five botanicals — juniper, coriander, angelica, liquorice root and orange peel — it leans into the spicy, aromatic character of mature juniper for a bold, full-flavoured London Dry. That mature juniper is the spine of any classic dry gin — the first botanical to master when you build your own bill.
