Firkin Gin Islay Rested
firkingin.co.uk Reviewed by Gin School; distillery has not claimed entry
Firkin Gin is made in batches of around 250 bottles by an undisclosed Scottish distiller, distilled with four botanicals: juniper, coriander seed, angelica root and orris root. This limited edition is then rested in ex-Lagavulin casks, lending a whisper of Islay smoke, before each bottle is hand-filled, corked, wax-dipped and labelled. Warming and citrusy, coriander seed is a hero botanical to reach for when you want a peppery-spice backbone in your own bill.
