Hamptons Dry Gin
oldtomgin.co.uk Reviewed by Gin School; distillery has not claimed entry
Launched in 2001 in a hand-decorated bottle suited to the Hamptons' upscale image, this yellow-corn-based gin is made via a four-column distillation with botanicals distilled separately then melded into the spirit. The producer keeps its cards close, confirming only juniper, orange and lemon peel. With so few certainties, this is a reminder that a clean citrus-and-juniper core is plenty to build a confident gin around.
