Launched in 2020 by Outlander actor Sam Heughan and distilled at Crafty Distillery, Sassenach is a London dry gin made with botanicals foraged from Scotland's Dumfries and Galloway, where Sam grew up: Scottish juniper, rhubarb, heather, Scots pine resin, bramble leaf, blaeberry, crab apple and toasted oats. GinSchool discovery: Scots pine resin echoes juniper's piney spine with a deeper, foresty resin note — a wild hero to make your own gin sing.
